With the help of this site volunteers - students and youth from UK, the USA and other countries will have an opportunity to travel on very favourable conditions, to live in family and to eat domestic food and also as teachers to train in their language.
Courses ‘ English with Native Speakers’
Introduction
We have run courses with the active involvement of Native English Speakers in our centre. We have been in partnership with the world wide volunteer organization ‘ Teaching & Projects Abroad, (Sussex, United Kingdom), who have supplied us with Native English teachers (and continue to do so) from 1996.
Learning involves active participation by students in speaking, listening, reading and writing in modern living English. Each session involves well-structured activities with carefully explained grammar exercises, as well as appropriate functional language (for everyday use). During lessons we utilise the best British textbooks, audiocassettes and videotapes in the English language. But an even better resource for the Ukrainian wanting to learn real English are the Native English speakers who represent the best opportunity for students to be exposed to accurate English. This facilitates the rapid development of correct pronunciation of the Queen’s English. English teachers also conduct discussions and individual dialogues with learners. Many children develop a real desire to speak and improve their English when coming into contact with such personnel. We select our Ukrainian teachers (who work in the classroom alongside the Native Speakers) from high school teachers, post-graduate as well as undergraduate’s students in the field of English (many of whom, have spent time in English-speaking countries or themselves had teachers who were native English speakers).
Volunteers from England also participate in our ‘English Summer camps’. They are often musicians or sportsmen and sportswomen, who enjoy playing many games with their pupils. They tell fascinating and interesting stories about their travels to different countries. Our camps also continue to run every year.
Our Center of creativity " Stepsons of Ukraine "
We try to provide high quality and availability of training in classes and studios for anyone, and children from needy have privileges. Someone from them not only studies gratuitously, and receives sometimes our help on paints and so on.
The center has the Diploma of the Ministry of culture for participation in the ending All Ukrainian festival of national creativity.
Our children from studios of an embroidery and a list, whose works were exposed, have received also different costly presents as sets of paints and other.
In particular highly there was an appreciated picture as an icon of Divine mother which was embroidered with Olesya Litvinenko. Unfortunately, both first our teachers from studios of embroidery (Myroslava Yarchuk ) and lists (Svetlana Semenova) have left on constant residing abroad, one to France, and the second to America as in our country they had room and material problems. Works of our children, including figures and sculptures, were exposed at date of Kiev and have received many favorable responses from artists and admirers.
